“It’ll take your breath away” say brands this World No Tobacco Day
The current pandemic situation and lockdown which followed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus has left people quite anxious, frustrated and overwhelmed about everything that has been happening around them. Norms of social distancing and washing hands are practiced all over the country to prevent falling prey to this deadly virus.
COVID-19 is known to enter ones system through the respiratory system and hence World No Tobacco Day 2020 has a strong focus on that. Brands have put out some interesting creative adhering to these times with the overarching theme of ‘smoking kills’. Creatives including cigarettes as visual content to show how it can kill you and to refrain from the use of any kind of tobacco products. Lungs have also been used in creative to show the effect of cigarettes.
While COVID-19 and smoking can go hand in hand in affecting one’s health, many brands also refrained from talking about the two issues together.
