IT raids on dentsu’s Mumbai office; ex-employees’ deals under scanner

Industry is rife with the news of income-tax raid that was conducted at dentsu India’s Mumbai office on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Sources in the know have confirmed the development to Adgully.

The sources further told Adgully that the raid was the fallout of some dubious deals done by some former employees of dentsu with some clients.

It is also learnt that dentsu employees were asked to work from home in light of the raid until further notice. However, the sources said that several employees had anyways continued to work from home even after the Covid restrictions were lifted.

In another development, Vivo, a client of dentsu, is also under the Enforcement Directorate’s scanner for money laundering. Raids have been carried out in as many as 44 offices of Vivo.
