ixigo Is Giving Out Free Flights On Twitter With Their #SocialMojo Campaign

ixigo, India’s leading travel platform has announced the launch of their new Twitter campaign ‘#SocialMojo’. The campaign is aimed towards raising awareness on the travel platform’s virtual currency and customer loyalty program, ‘ixigo money’.  Based on an algorithm developed in-house, #SocialMojo ranks users basis their following, followers and engagement on Twitter and associates a ‘SocialMojo Score’ to their profile.  Users can then claim ixigo money equivalent to their SocialMojo score to book free/discounted flight tickets through ixigo.

Launched in 2017, ixigo’s loyalty programme is free from any gimmicky offers and restrictions on usage. Unlike other travel apps, travellers can use 100% of their ixigo money on their bookings. Since inception, ixigo money has helped travellers save Rs.100 crore on flight bookings.

Commenting on the strategic campaign strategy, Aloke Bajpai, CEO & Co-founder, ixigo, said, “The idea behind SocialMojo was to design an industry-first growth hack which will help us build a meaningful influencer-brand relationship by targeting micro-influencers and turning our customers into advocates. This is the first time an Indian brand is rewarding Twitter clout, and as the campaign evolves, our aim is to replicate this engagement across other social media platforms as well."

“Influencer marketing has now become a mainstream channel for brands to engage with their audience and through #SocialMojo, ixigo is leveraging its product to drive the influencer marketing graphic for itself.”- Bajpai further added.

The campaign is already witnessing massive organic engagement, with Twitterati influencers checking their SocialMojo and winning ixigo money of upto Rs.1 lakh. Some big ticket winners till now include names like Trivikram Srinivas, a leading director from South, who has won Rs.45,000 ixigo money basis his SocialMojo rank.
