Jagran Film Festival 2011: Gratifying Indian cinema!

Dainik Jagran inaugurated its second edition of Jagran Film Festival in Kanpur on 9th and 10th July 2011. Jagran Film Festival 2011 gratifies Indian cinema in those regions where cinema of quality and creative excellence are rarely shown.

This year JFF will be travelling across important cities of Heartland; Kanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradoon, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Lucknow and Delhi respectively.

Jagran Film Festival has established a tie up with Information and Broadcasting Ministry (Govt. of India) to screen movies from archive of Children Film Society of India. Other section includes ; World Classics, Films of NFDC, Retrospective of Anwar Jamal (Short films & Documentaries) and Films of Celebrities Choice.

Our experienced Mentor Panel ; Om Puri , Anurag Kashyap , Sudhir Mishra and Raveena Tondon give their valuable input in selection of movies and creating topics for panel discussion in every city. The Panel also plays major role in nomination process of cinema for JFF awards in different categories. Later on, all the nominated films are screened in Delhi where JFF jury panel; Satish Kaushik , Lillette Dubey, Amit Rai, Seema Kapoor and Ashok Chakradhar decides the winner in following category:

Best Actor

Best Script

Jagran film Festival quenches up the desire of watching quality cinema of the elitists and intellectuals of Category B cities. JFF connects well with higher segment of society in every city as the selected cinema appeals and attracts the qualitative cinema lovers. JFF also aims to develop a culture of qualitative cinema in heartland.

JFF Awards gratify and felicitate quality content driven Indian Hindi Cinema. It inspires film makers and other contributors of parallel movies to add to the panorama of Indian Classics.
