Jeremi Gorman hired as the President of Worldwide Advertising at Netflix

Jeremi Gorman, former Chief Business Officer at Snap, has been hired as the President of Worldwide Advertising at Netflix. The VP of Sales, at Snap America, Peter Naylor, has also been hired as the VP of Advertising Sales. Both the executives will start functioning in their new roles with effect from September.
Naylor will be reporting to Gorman, who will be reporting to Greg Peters, Chief Product Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Netflix.
In a statement, Gorman said: “I’m excited to join Netflix assisting to build the advertising business, as well as a advertisimg team which is world class from ground up. We have taken the initial steps and expect to offer the premier experiences for Netflix members and the advertising community of which I am a part of for more than 20 years.”
Naylor said: “It's been wonderful to witness the anticipation among the advertising sector for Netflix's future ad-supported product. I'm thrilled to be joining the team and am looking forward to assisting in the connection of our advertising with Netflix subscribers all across the world.”
Peters stated: "Jeremi's strong experience in managing ad businesses and Peter's prior experience in leading ad sales teams will be significant as the membership options for consumers are expanded via a newly introduced ad supported offering."
In addition to the current ads-free basic, standard, and premium plans, Netflix said in April that it will be launching a new, more affordable, ad-supported subscription option for customers. It has decided to join with Microsoft as its global sales and advertising technology partner.
"As we collaborate to develop a new ad-supported service, Microsoft has the track record to fulfil all of our advertising requirements. Microsoft provided our members with robust privacy safeguards and the freedom to continuously develop in both the technology and sales sectors " said Greg Peters.
Early in 2023, Netflix's ad-supported streaming service will be lunched, with a potential monthly price range of $7 to $9. (Rs 550 to 700 per month).
