JetSetGo's steady ascent to dominate the Private Aviation Industry in India

JetSetGo, India’s only private aviation travel brand aimed at radically redefining the private aviation industry with its online private jet booking platform and superior “JetSetter” on ground and in air services, continues to gain rapid attention from high profile India bound travelers and the country’s wealthy and the famous. Already boasting of customers like the Ferragamo family, the Duchess of York, Bollywood fraternity on one hand and some of the biggest corporate houses on the other, the glamour child of the Indian start-up space has now secured an undisclosed investment from Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director of Dalmia Bharat that was made in his personal capacity. This investment comes after Yuvraj Singh funded YouWeCan Ventures acquired a stake in the company earlier this year in July.

Kanika Tekriwal, the CEO and Co-founder who earlier made it onto BBC’s list of 100 most aspirational women of 2015 said, “We are trying to simply bring aviation back to its roots and are putting the customer in front of everything else. With this singular focus on delivering superior value for every flight and for every customer, we are gaining loyalty of a genre of customers who probably are the most difficult to please generally.”

Sudheer Perla, the Co-founder of JetSetGo who has several years of corporate turnaround and restructuring experience said, “In aggregate, the private aviation industry in India is losing value. We are trying to change that. People generally misunderstand private air travel to be discretionary or only an indulgent form of travel. If one were to take a cross section of Indian corporates and compare those that have consistently over performed over the years or contributed in higher proportion to economic growth especially in Tier 2 or 3 locations, one would see almost all relying on private aviation. Whilst India continues to build, it is imperative that Corporate India has the flexibility to bypass various infrastructure bottlenecks to get the flexibility and productivity gains required to enable a rapid broad based transformation of the country we all aspire for.”

JetSetGo now works with almost all non-scheduled aircraft operators in the country not only in improving utilization levels but also in several instances driving operational and cost synergies to enhance profitability. JetSetGo intends to use this round of capital infusion to build further on ground presence in key airports and continue roll out product offerings including launching inter-city private jet shuttles, broader air ambulance services and its online platform for helicopter bookings that it hopes to launch before the new civil aviation policy that intends to bring about several reforms in this space comes into effect.
