Over the past two years, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day Jio showcases its ever-evolving relationship with its customers and the incumbents.
In 2017, the brand was in the midst of an ongoing telecom war, with competing operators over tariffs and customer acquisitions. Jio came out encouraging its rivals to forget everything and wished all of them a Happy Valentine's Day. The brand positioned itself as a friendly companion, out there to spread love. Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea acknowledged the love shared by Jio, and twitter had a meltdown.
2018 – Promise
The next year, 2018, it was time to remind Airtel, Vodafone and Idea that Jio is always by their side whenever needed.
2019 – One True Love
This year, the brand's size has doubled in strength from last year, the relationship with the users has become stronger. In 2019, the brand sent out a message that Jio is enough!
Twitter users also joined the bandwagon with their sassy commentary on the ongoing love-hate relationship in the telecom sector.
