Kapil's new show Vs Color's Bajirao Mastani premiere - interesting face-off

Movie premieres, top-rated soaps, reality shows, even cricket matches clashing for prime time eyeballs is nothing new. However, comedian Kapil Sharma’s TV comeback with ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony is set to see an interesting clash.

‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ will go on air at 9 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2016. The show avoided a clash of timing with ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’, which airs at 10 pm on Saturdays and Sundays on Colors.

However, Kapil Sharma will have to face off with another contender on the day of launch, the world television premiere of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ on Colors. It is no secret that Kapil and Colors’ parting was not an amicable one and both parties have been quite vocal about it on various platforms.

So far, Colors hasn’t had a fixed movie slot on Saturdays. Hence, the premiere of ‘Bajirao Mastani’ can only been seen as putting a spanner on the debut of Kapil’s new show. Will that really be the case, only the BARC ratings to be available next week will reveal.

In the mean time, the inaugural episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ will feature Shah Rukh Khan, who will be promoting his upcoming film ‘Fan’.
