Karnataka wakes up to Football on the back of home team addition
Hero ISL Season 4 witnessed a spectacular opening across the country with impressive in-stadia attendance and remarkable television viewership. Karnataka, in particular, has shown a notable increase in viewers tuning in to watch the matches, as home team Bengaluru FC made its debut in the league this season. The league recorded an unprecedented 215% surge in average impressions in Karnataka compared to Season 3.
In its first ever season as part of the Hero Indian Super League, Bengaluru FC, Karnataka’s most celebrated and most talked about club finally got its due share of viewership. Since the start of the of the season in November, the viewership in Karnataka for football has increased up to 3 times as compared to previous years on the back of Bengaluru FC competing successfully in the Hero ISL and sitting on top of the league table at halfway stage.
