KBC 4 marks grand opening with music, dance and Big B

The entire making of the set was created on a very short notice, yet nothing that was planned was compromised on, he show went on air on time with a fully furnished and well-created set.

The perfectionist in Bachchan along with his sense of humor and boundless energy during the shoot kept everyone on their toes and in high spirit. His creative suggestions were really appreciated by everyone engaged in the administration team and motivated them to give in their best.

He was so enthused about the opening song that he jammed with composers Vishal-Shekhar till the wee hours of the morning to complete it. The music video was directed by India's contemporary dance guru; Shiamak Davar who was extremely excited to watch the legend perform in front of his eyes. A very touched Shiamak, said, "Recreating the best of Bachchan's work was a challenge. That's why I decided to do a piece that would reflect Bachchan's journey as a poet to an actor to a star to a superstar and finally as the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2010. The opening for Kaun Banega Crorepati is a tribute to Bachchan's best work, something never seen or experienced before. I am honored to have gotten the opportunity to direct him for this."

Despite a short notice, Shiamak got his troupe from all the corners of the world and 80 dancers were specially flown down and the shoot went seamlessly without any hassles. 81 Pagdis were also specially bought in for this out of which one Pagdi was 8 feet by 12 feet tall.

The show started with Bachchan making a grand entry from a 24 feet tall structure in the form of an "A' narrating his father's poetry. The entire ambience was white with Shiamak's dancers holding white candles and posters of Bachchan's famous films were put all around the studio.

The grand set was constructed by Nitin Desai at Yash Raj Studio, and he did a fabulous job with it.
