Keep exploring says Cinevistaas's Siddharth Malhotra

Siddharth P Malhotra, a producer, director and the creative head of Cinevistaas, as the son of actor-producer Prem Kishen, comes with creative lineage. Having given over a decade and a half in the television space, Siddharth has ‘hit’ shows like 'Sanjivani', 'Ssshhhh...Koi Hai...', 'Ayushmaan', 'Krishna-Arjun', Ek Hazaroon Mei Mere Behna hai, Dil Milenge etc to his credit. He has also had his stint with the big screen where he directed Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal starrer ‘We are Family’ under the Dharma productions banner. He has re-routed to television again as is currently all set to bring his next show ‘Ek Hasina Thi’ on Star Plus. 

Having studied in Bombay Scottish School Mumbai, India then to Greenlawns High School and then to New York University, Malhotra has been quite passionate about his work and aims and goals in life. With a simple funda of ‘keep exploring’, he loves travelling to new places but is in love with New York and Mussoorie. For him, travelling means: hanging out with people whom he likes, forgetting his worries and of-course exploring new cuisines.

In today’s Fox Traveller Diaries, let’s run through the colourful pages of producer, director Siddharth Malhotra’s diary.

Fox Traveller Diaries (FTD): If there is one place you can keep going back to for a holiday, where would it be?

Siddharth Malhotra (SM): New York and Mussoorie

FTD: Tell us three good things about travelling.

SM: Hang out with people whom you like, forget your worries and explore new cuisines.

FTD: When you travel, what is a must carry for you?

SM: Food and medicines

FTD: When and where did your best holiday happen?

SM: New York, Miami. Actually if you are in right company any place can become your best holiday.

FTD: As a traveller, what’s your tip for the others?

SM: Keep exploring!

FTD: A colleague/co-worker from your industry with whom you would like to go on a holiday.

SM: Close friends and family as I can trust them.

FTD: Have you ever been surprised by the taste of food, outside India? Where?

SM: At New York, many a times.

FTD: What and Where your best bargain been so far?

SM: I am bad at that!

FTD: Which has been the most unique destination that you ever visited? When and why?

SM: Chandratal lake, Nainital and Lake George, New York

FTD: Tell us how have you managed to make a journey fun.

SM: I travel with people who are 10 times energized than me and make my journey fun.

FTD: A gourmet gaffe that you would like to share.

SM: Don't remember.

FTD: What has been your worst travel moment? Why?

SM: Only when you are stuck in airline or at the airport for 8-10 hours.  

FTD:  What is the best souvenir you ever bought for anyone?

SM: For my Father on his birthday. I took about 10 couples, his close friends for a 2nights 3 days trip to Goa for holiday for a surprise party. No one except my wife and me knew about it. That moment was very special for all of us.
