Kerstin von der Brelie to head HR in EMEA & APAC at Turner

International Human Resources executive Kerstin von der Brelie will join Turner International Broadcasting System, Inc as Vice President, Human Resources for the regions Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific, it was announced today by Angela Santone, Turner’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

Previously Chief Talent Officer Europe for Millward Brown Europe, von der Brelie will be responsible for executive oversight of the Turner International HR teams in EMEA and APAC regions from March on.

“I am delighted that Kerstin is joining us and look forward to working with her as a HR leader and strategic business partner,” said Santone. “Her track record as commercial HR leader in fast-paced, international business environments will enable her to increase the regions’ organisational capabilities and support a culture of excellence and accountability.”

Turner Broadcasting System International operates versions of core TBS brands, including CNN, TNT, Cartoon Network, and Turner Classic Movies, as well as country- and region-specific networks and businesses, overall more than 150 channels showcasing 32 brands in 36 languages in more than 200 countries. Throughout Asia Pacific and EMEA, Turner International broadcasts 63 channels in 165 countries.

As Vice President, Human Resources for the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, von der Brelie will have oversight over the HR strategy in those regions and serve as a key strategic business partner and advisor to the Turner International executive team. As a senior member of Turner’s Global HR function she will partner with other functional HR heads and regional teams. She will lead the implementation of HR infrastructure and processes in the geographically dispersed group to support the global footprint.

Kerstin von der Brelie most recently was Chief Talent Officer and European Board member at Millward Brown, a position she assumed in August 2010.  She has also held key HR business partner roles at Yahoo Europe, AOL Europe, TM3 Television in Munich, as well as at the Pay-TV-channel Premiere in Hamburg, Germany. She studied Economics and Business Administration at the University of Passau in Germany, achieved Personal Profiles accreditation at Insights in the United Kingdom, has been certified Master level UK Employment Law and approved Law Society at CIPD in London and received Executive Education, Strategic Leadership and Organisational Transformation at the Rotterdam School of Management / Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
