Kingfisher turns tweets into Beer on International Beer Day

Kingfisher is leaving no stone unturned to ring in the Good Times on International Beer Day. On the occasion, Kingfisher has come out with an initiative to enthuse fans on social media, giving them an opportunity to lead their city to win oodles of Kingfisher Beer.

Leading up to the International Beer Day which falls on August 2nd 2013, consumers and fans alike are urged to pray to the Beer Gods by sending in entries on ‘why they would want beer’. Consumers can send in tweets with their entries using #DearBeerGod.  Each tweet fills up the specially designed virtual beer mug on Kingfisher’s website by 1ml. The city with the maximum number of tweets as prayers wins Kingfisher Beer valued on how much the virtual mug gets filled.

The digital contest starts on July 26th and fans can tweet till August 1st to fill the beer mug. The winning city will be announced on August 2nd and consumers with the best entries from the city will be gratified with the total amount of beer contributed during the week.

Kingfisher, the country’s global leader in engaging consumers on social media, is known for creating unique engaging experiences for their fans.
