Kleinetics launches Kleinetics Educator Academy to build fitness

Kleinetics is a globally renowned program for kids’ fitness aiming to motivate children to participate in regular physical activities and take up sports and fitness as a lifestyle. The Mumbai-based company was founded by Dr. Tejal Kanwar in August 2017 with an aim to ensure the physical and mental development of kids. Kleinetics Educator Academy (KEA), an arm of Kleinetics has been training coaches since inception but in 2020 they launched their training program as a certification program. Having trained almost 400 plus coaches from across India and some from abroad, KEA is now open to Coaches, PE teachers, Gym trainers, Preschool owners and Athletes who want to develop a career in training kids and develop an athlete in every child.

Kleinetics was initially piloted in 2016 – 17 as a community-based project for children, launched in a Mumbai suburb, which was later diversified into a bunch of South-Bombay residential complexes. With functionality, fun, customization, and measurement as their main philosophies,

Kleinetics has successfully managed to create a highly effective program, a world class fitness system which is now in 60 plus residential complexes, 12 academies/gymkhanas, and 23 schools and virtually across India.

All this can be attributed to an innovative design of an engaging Fitness and Athletics training program for children by emulating certain aspects of game-play and adding cutting-edge global practice. With the pandemic in 2020, they quickly pivoted like other businesses with digitalization and also started designing and executing health and wellness programs for women and corporate employees who are most affected and challenged with WFH during the last 18 months.

On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day KEA re-launched with a Panel discussion with industry leaders. The webinar had Dr. Tejal Kanwar, CEO, and co-founder of Kleinetics, Jatin Paranjpe, founder of Khelomore and ex-cricketer, Neha Kanabar, founder of UNIMO (Universe of moms), the largest mom community on Facebook in the world, Ayesha Bilimoria, a 3 time former national champion in 200m sprint & Founder of One-track fitness and athletic club, Amit Malik, member of National Sports Education Board constituted by the Ministry of Sports. The session discussed the need for encouraging the kids to get outdoors, play and having a structured fitness curriculum in schools. Pandemic having taken a big toll on their growth and social skills; sports and fitness needs to take center stage with immediate effect.

Kanwar emphasized the “challenges that sports coaches and trainers had to suffer during the pandemic since all institutes and schools were shut down. She discussed the ways in which solopreneurs and fitness trainers can tie up with larger platforms to gain more clients and how digital marketing can help these coaches position themselves on social media in innovative ways to retain clients. They can collaborate with other coaches to break the monotony and offer variety to their students”.

Jatin Paranjpe addressed the “need to create protocols and SOPs for schools and academies so kids can start much needed outdoors. He mentioned that Communication from the principals and PT teachers should go out to assure the parents about their kid’s safety once the schools and academies are open. He also highlighted the need for more well-trained and knowledgeable coaches for every sport and also skilled trainers for the virtual platforms.”

Neha feels that “parents should prepare their kids rather than protecting them from the real world. She urged that we all need to be prepared for multiple waves and on that note. compromising on the kids’ outdoor activities is not a solution and instead, we should find ways to ensure that they are safe, active and fit to face and endure such health hazards in the future. For that, imbibing fitness as a lifestyle whether indoors or outdoors for everyone is essential.”

Kleinetics Specialists conducted online demo sessions and drills showing new variations and how to cue them. They also discussed the challenges kids will face in adjusting after stepping outdoors post such a huge gap. This practical take away was highly appreciated by the participants. Jacob Lazaro from Tanzania appreciated the LIVE demos for online fitness for children and Nitha Vijoy from Kerala enjoyed the unique session.

Kanwar has positioned a unique enterprise placing children’s fitness alongside reading, writing, and arithmetic transcending beyond mere play to a form of literacy. Kleinetics’ growth plans include catering to the metros as well as Tier II and III regions within the next five years and through this science backed Academy, they intend to create the right ecosystem with multiple courses by fitness experts, doctors and leaders which will upskill coaches to deliver an effective regime with advanced specialization
