ŠKODA Auto India’s industry-first Gifs garner over 1 million impressions

While it’s always business-as-usual with car launches, sales figures, and supply chain strategies for a car manufacturer, ŠKODA AUTO India brought in some fun and zing into online conversations and exchanges by releasing an automotive first-ever string of ŠKODA-exclusive GIFs on World Emoji Day. Introduced on 17 July 2022, the GIFs saw an immediate uptake of over 45,000 impressions within 24 hours. In just over a month, the uptake has crossed 1 million.

The ŠKODA line of Emojis are a stream of quirky, fun GIFs that are relatable enough to be used in everyday conversations to enhance, add to, or replace dialogue in interpersonal and group exchanges online. The GIFs are supported across all instant messaging and social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp. The said GIFs can be invoked by simply typing ‘ŠKODA India’ in the Emoji search bar and the user can choose from a range of over 31 GIFs with more being added by the day. The GIFs feature the entire family of ŠKODA AUTO India products like the OCTAVIA, SLAVIA, and SUPERB sedans and SUVs like the KUSHAQ and the KODIAQ.

The GIFs range from showcasing the 521-litre boot of the SLAVIA to convey ‘Too much baggage’, a KUSHAQ in the garage to say you are ‘Finally Home’, or the view from the windshield of a SLAVIA being driven to show a ‘Long Drive’, or an OCTAVIA power-sliding to show your friends you are ‘Going Crazy’. The Emojis have also engaged users, customers and fans during topical days and festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami and other occasions widening the repository and bringing fans, friends, and communities closer.
