Leo Burnett Mumbai gets Suvadip Ghosh Mazumdar as VP

Leo Burnett has appointed Suvadip Ghosh Mazumdar as Vice President at the Mumbai office. Suvadip comes with over 12 years of varied experience as a marketer. He started his career as a consumer market researcher at Quantum Market Research in Mumbai. He has always enjoyed interacting with the "real consumer' to find answers to brand challenges. At Quantum, he worked on brands for Marico, Colgate Palmolive, Tata Motors and ITC. After a stint in brand planning at FCB Ulka for Hero Honda, HCL and Godfrey Phillips, he wanted to be a part of the big picture. Heading Virgin Mobile's Consumer Insights Department has been a key milestone in Suvadip's career. He later became Head of the Tata Teleservices Consumer Insights team as a result of the Virgin and Tata merger. While at Virgin Mobile, he also got the Star News & Global Youth Marketing Forum's 'Star Youth Achiever Of The Year Award 2011'.

Suvadip believes that insights are derived, not observed. "I have always enjoyed connecting with the end consumer. Hearing what they say and listening to what they really mean. Without missing out on this passion, moving to a mainstream business role has always been a dream. That is what Leo Burnett has offered me", says Suvadip Ghosh Mazumdar, Vice President, Leo Burnett, Mumbai.

Welcoming Suvadip on board, Arvind Sharma, Chairman & CEO, India Subcontinent, said ."Leo Burnett advertising is about building brands the Human Kind way, not just through ads but also acts. Suvadip's consumer insights orientation is invaluable to our Human Kind thought process for brands. He adds strength to our team for developing holistic and actionable plans that transform human behavior."
