No matter how busy his work schedule, he with his companions make it a point to step out of their office routine and hectic lifestyles . Fox Traveller Diary (FTD): If there is one place you would love to keep going back to for a holiday, where would it be?
Abhishek Mehta (AM): According to me, it’s Italia
FTD: Tell us three good things about travelling.
AM: It gives an opportunity to relish the beauty and splendor of nature, loads of quality time for yourself and your loved ones and to explore newer places and cultures.
FTD: When you travel, what is a must carry for you?
AM: My i-pod and Bluetooth Bose speaker
FTD: When and where did your best holiday happen?
AM: Thailand – Koh Samui and Koh Tao, February 2013
FTD: As a frequent traveller, what important tips would you share with others?
AM: Don’t be too fussy, don’t plan too much. Be open and adventurous and enjoy everything that comes along.
FTD: A colleague/co-worker from your industry with whom you would like to go on a holiday.
AM: Subrat, one of my best friends and ex-colleague
FTD: Have you ever been surprised by the taste of food, outside India? Where?
AM: Totally enamored by the quality of food I had during my travel to Italy.
FTD: What and where has your best bazaar bargain been so far?
AM: I am not much of a bargainer but I loved shopping in Singapore and Dubai.
FTD: Which has been the most unique destination that you ever visited? When and why?
AM: I spent a couple of days in Bologna (Italy). It’s a beautiful university town. Bologna is not on the tourist map, but I liked spending time in the city, it’s so youthful and vibrant…and what lovely food and wine.
FTD: Tell us how you have managed to make a journey fun.
AM: I like to self-drive and explore as much as I can, I love to ease into the place and the culture rather than just hurry through the experience. I also research a lot on the places/hotels that I plan to visit.
FTD: A gourmet gaffe that you would like to share.
AM: None.
FTD: What has been your worst travel moment? Why?
AM: None so far.
FTD: What is the best souvenir you ever bought for anyone?
AM: …………
