Life OK brings Savdhaan India's fight to Mumbai with Sachin Pilgaonkar

After a successful run of the Delhi chapter, Savdhaan India, the docu-drama that has changed the way we look at crime shows, now comes to Mumbai to voice the concerns of those affected by crimes in the financial capital. In a valiant effort to make Mumbai crime free, Savdhaan India now introduces its special series Mumbai Fights Back.

Every day, thousands of people come to Mumbai with dreams of making a name for themselves and earning quick money. But the illusion of earning fast money quickly fades away as reality sets in. In a bid to achieve their dreams quickly, people often fall prey to greed and take a wrong turn on their road to success by committing crimes to fulfill their unreasonable desires and aspirations. This insatiable greed for quick bucks has time and again made the city of dreams become a city of nightmare for many people. But the Mumbaiya-Never-Say-Die spirit and its people have kept the city moving forward. In honor of those resilient Mumbaikars who stood up against wrongdoings and said ‘Aata Bas’, Savdhaan India will start its special ‘Mumbai Fights Back’ series on 8th December which will be hosted by veteran actor Sachin Pilgaonkar. The special weekend series on Mumbai specific cases was launched on Wednesday through an online movement.

Kick-starting the ‘Aata Bas’ campaign, Sachin Pilgaonkar, host of Mumbai Fights Back special series said, “I am extremely delighted to be a part of the Aata Bass initiative. Being the host of Savdhaan India’s Mumbai Fights Back, I feel it is my obligation to spread the word against increasing greed lead crimes in Mumbai. I decided to be a part of the show as it aims to encourage people to fight back against crime and criminals.”

In an attempt to make Mumbai crime free, Life OK introduced a digital application, ‘Aata Bas’ and Sachin kick started the movement against crime by being the first to pledge his support. He stood up to say ‘Aata Bas’ in an endeavor to awaken the true spirit of Mumbai and encourage people to be a part of this initiative.  People can access this application either on Facebook at www.facebook.com/lifeok or on Twitter at #aatabas and pledge their support by saying ‘Aata Bas’ to greed and the crimes arising from it, thus becoming a part of a movement that aims to make Mumbai a safer place.

Life OK is guided by the philosophy of ‘cherish your values and beliefs’, aims to encourage Indian audiences to stand up for their rights. The show goes beyond mere awareness factor thus making it an extension of Life OK’s core thought.

Savdhaan India illustrates cases where people have valiantly fought back against atrocities such as female foeticide, untouchability, child labour and sexual harassment. The movement alerts viewers and inspires them to counter injustice with firm determination. The weekend series airs every Saturday-Sunday at 10pm and weekday series every Monday to Friday at 10.30pm on Life OK
