Lisa Ray to show her quest for gold; TLC launches OH MY GOLD!

It's raining jewellery on TLC with an all-new series that's an irresistible fusion of gold, diamonds, pearls and gems. Celebrating the country's eternal love for jewellery, TLC - India's favourite lifestyle channel announced the launch of its new India-centric series, OH MY GOLD (OMG!) hosted by acclaimed international actor and model Lisa Ray.

OH MY GOLD!, TLC's latest India commission, opens up a new programming genre and will complement its existing distinct and aspirational lifestyle programming. A visual treat, OH MY GOLD! captures everything about gold and other precious stones from buying, wearing and above all enjoying jewellery. A five-part series, OH MY GOLD! is shot in high-definition and will premiere on TLC every night at 9 P.M. starting Monday, July 11.

In this series, Lisa Ray experiences India's love for jewellery as she travels to Jaipur, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kochi and Chennai to uncover these cities inherent jewellery styles. OH MY GOLD! will showcase the art of jewellery making whilst delving into India's extravagant jewellery traditions that are still prevalent today and make up the country's rich cultural fabric.

Delhi: Lisa travels to Delhi to uncover the city's diamond studded affair ' from nail art to hairdos to trousseaus. She takes the viewers on a tour that celebrates Delhi's love for this enigmatic stone. It's truly "live life bling size' in the capital.

Kochi: Gold gets an all-new meaning in God's own country and the lush backwaters offer the perfect backdrop for Lisa to explore Kerala's distinct ornamental style. The journey in search for the significance of gold becomes a true extravaganza as Lisa discovers gold on sea food, clothes and believe it or not, on a gold-plated version of herself. You're also in for a triple treat with the unveiling of the masterpiece during a fashion show in the serene backwaters.

Chennai: Lisa embarks on a divine exploration of temple jewellery. Celebrate the city's love for gold with a visit to the world's biggest gold stores and funky mobile jewellery. Grandiose gets an all new definition with the unveiling of a 1.5 tonne 24 carat gold masterpiece.
