Lloyd Mathis becomes the Chairman of MRUC

Lloyd Mathis has been elected as Chairman of MRUC - Media Research Users Council. Lloyd takes over from Andrey Purushottam who resigned from the post.

The MRUC Chair is rotated every two years. Andrey had to cut short his term as Chairman as he moved on from the advertisers' constituency post his resignation from Mahindra & Mahindra, where he was CEO of Mumbai Mantra.

"Andrey has contributed immensely to MRUC for many years where he served as a Board member, Vice Chairman and Chairman. He has been extremely proactive, devoted and has driven the MRUC vision with passion" added Bharat Kapadia, Vice Chairman of MRUC.

On welcoming the new Chairman, Bharat Kapadia further added, "Media industry is passing through a very challenging yet interesting phase and we are looking forward to many enhancements in our offerings. Lloyd, a dynamic & experienced Industry player will accelerate the growth under his leadership."

Lloyd Mathias, President & Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Teleservices, has more than 20 years of experience and has been an active member in the MRUC Board. At Tata Teleservices he heads Marketing, Product Management, Business Development, Alliances and Valued Added Services. He has earlier worked with Motorola & PepsiCo. Said Lloyd on his new role: "I look forward to making MRUC more relevant to advertisers, media planners, the broadcasting & publishing industry ' with newer and enhanced offerings."

MRUC, publishers of the IRS - Indian Readership Survey, is a non-profit body that benchmarks and validates media research in India, maintaining standards of integrity, fairness & reliability. It is supported and mandated by media owners, advertisers & advertising agencies.
