Llyod-Sheroes Summit highlights creating professional opportunities for women

Taps into #FutureOfWork; tri-city LLYOD SHEROES Summit 2016 concludes in Mumbai

Cross-sector support and socio-economic essentials have enabled women to fulfill their professional dreams and attain economic liberation – a progressive step towards the #FutureOfWork -- as highlighted during the LLYOD SHEROES Summit 2016.

Organised by SHEROES.in, an online career destination for women, in association with Paytm and Monster.com, the 4th edition of the annual tri-city mega event concluded its final chapter in Mumbai  recently. The meet outlined the fundamental belief of facilitating women with professional opportunities to help them achieve work-life balance and financial independence.

Commenting on the importance of this summit, Sairee Chahal, Founder & CEO, SHEROES.insaid, "SHEROES is a take-charge network for women who have career on their mind. The day’s events began with a panel discussion preceding the launch of corporate-honcho-turned-author Apurva Nagpal’s second book, EighteenPlus Duets. Co-authored with 18 women, the rib-tickling, saucy sequel to Eighteen Plus: Bedtime Stories. For Grown-Upstakes a tongue-in-cheek look at the inner conflicts among the youth today. The panel discussion that followed had Apurva, and author Bhawna Mohile and sexologist Urjita Kulkarni – among co-authors ofEighteen Plus Duets – deliberating upon the issues plaguing the youth today, across genders.
Later in the day, a CXO session was anchored by Nipun Singhal, Director, LLYOD Electric & Engineering Limited. Shinjini Kumar, CEO designate, Paytm Payments Bank; Reena Chabbra CEO, FSN Brand, Nykaaand Sudeep Tandon, CBO, Freecharge were the other panelist participating in the session.The event also comprised ‘Dare to be’,an interactive session between author Rinku Paul, comedian NeetiPalta, and singer SonamKalra. Named after Rinku Paul’sbook, the session stressed on the importance of encouraging women to be assertive about their beliefs and follow their dreams.

The Mumbai LLYOD SHEROES Summit’s other key session was on ‘Future of Work’, moderated by RegaJha, Editor-in-chief, Buzzfeed.The other two participants in the discussion were Deepali Nair, advisor, IAMAI, and Neha Motwani, Founder, Fitternity.
