The movie directed by Sudeep is said to be one of the costliest films to be made in Kannada cinema and also boasts of being the highest grossing films of Kannada cinema. Zee Action brings to its audiences ‘Maanikya’ in Hindi, a story about an age old rivalry amongst two villages.

Starring V. Ravichandran, Sudeep, Ramya Krishna, and Ranya Rao in pivotal roles, Maanikya is a blend of action, romance, good music and comedy, making it a complete family entertainer. The movie revolves around Vijay (Sudeep) and Manasa (Ranya Rao) who meet and fall in love. The twist to the story is that their families have been quarrelling since the past 27 years. Vijay gets dragged into these village politics and tries to pacify things between the two family camps.
