Maitri agency writes to INS on non-clearance of dues by Vasan Healthcare

Maitri Advertising Works, the advertising agency retained by Vasan Healthcare Group, has written to the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) stating that the Group companies have not paid them over Rs 17 crore for close to 6 years now.

Vasan Healthcare Group, which includes Vasan Health Care, Vasan Dental Care and Vasan Medical Hall, has alleged connections with P Chidambaram’s family.

As the INS has imposed embargo on the release of any ads from the Group in Print media, the agency has cautioned the INS that it has reason to believe that the Group is making attempts for releases of ads with certain publications with advance payments.

Maitri Advertising has, however, settled the publications’ dues by pledging almost all their properties, which are still with the bankers attracting interest.
