Makani Creatives wins creative duties of Panasonic Smartphones

Makani Creatives has been entrusted with the creative mandate of Panasonic Smartphones, post a multi-agency pitch.

Panasonic India entered India’s smartphone market in 2013. Since then, drawing on the strengths cultivated over the years through its home appliances business, Panasonic has introduced a wide range of products. Panasonic India also recently developed the new software, ‘Arbo’, for Android phones that brings to life simple smartphone operation utilising AI and a new user interface.

Speaking on the development, Sarthak Seth, Head - Brand & Marketing Communications, Panasonic India, said, “We were on the lookout for a partner who understands youth insight – and the role that a smartphone plays in their life, notwithstanding the values of an iconic brand like ours. It’s on this very basis and qualities that Makani Creatives has bagged our pitch. Under the initial creative duties, the agency has helped conceptualise and execute the launch of our latest series of smartphone – Panasonic Eluga A3 and A3 Pro.”

Reacting to the win, Sameer Makani, MD, Makani Creatives, said, “We are super excited and thankful to Panasonic for this opportunity! This will be our agency’s foray into the telecom space and that too with a brand as magnanimous as Panasonic, a brand that we have all grown up to. In today’s cluttered market, Panasonic is on its way to creating its own unique identity and we are glad to be a part of this journey.”

Panasonic Smartphones is the latest addition to Makani Creatives’ pool of clients, which includes the likes of Metro Shoes, Mahindra Logistics, Epic Channel, Siyarams Group, Red Tape, Killer Jeans, Lavie, Nilkamal Furniture, @home, and Tata Motors, to name a few. Based out of Mumbai, the advertising agency has a team strength of 100+ creative individuals.
