Manoj Adlakha joins American Express as SVP and Intl. HoCM

Manoj Adlakha has joined American Express as International Head of Customer Marketing and SVP. The current Chief Operating Officer at American Express Banking Corp (AEBC) India, Sanjay Khanna, will become the interim CEO. The changes will take place from May 14, 2022. As per his new responsibility, Manoj Adlakha will look after advancing the customer engagement strategy and contribute to revenue growth by enhancing customer’s share of the wallet across American Express’ key international markets. Previously, Manoj, in his three-decade-long career, has been in charge of many strategic positions at American Express, including finance, risk operations, strategic planning, and commercial and consumer cards.
Sanjay Khanna will lead the India consumer business and will also be heading the India Country Executive Team (CET), helping in developing growth strategies for the India business of American Express. Sanjay has been serving American Express for more than 26 years, holding many leadership roles and established a number of centres of excellence. He also held the position as the Chairman of the American Express India Pvt Ltd (AEIPL) Legal Entity Board.
