Marathi Television to be painted a new hue with COLORS Marathi'

Unveils the new channel identity and three new differentiated shows “Majha Hoshil Ka”, “Sakhi” and “Amchya Gharyat Soonbai Joraat” in a star studded Gudi Padwa event

COLORS Marathi, the channel that mirrors the cultural ethos of Maharashtra is all set begin its new innings of capturing the hearts of the Marathi Manoos in the New Year.  This is a part of the recent announcement by India’s fastest growing entertainment network, Viacom18 on expanding its portfolio by rebranding five ETV regional general entertainment channels.  The new foray was flagged of by COLORS Marathi in a star-studded Gudi Padwa extravaganza on 20th March. 2015 by revealing the channels new identity. 

The change will be brought alive on 22nd March 2015 by the high decibel visual extravaganza “Marathi International Film and Theatre Awards” (MICTA), an event that saw the best in Marathi Film and theatre celebrate the success of the industry in Dubai.  The entertainment quotient will further be upped with the launch of 3  new show: “Amchya Gharat Soon Bai Joraat” premiering on 23rd March 2015 at 6.30pm, “Majha Hoshil Ka” on 23rd March 2015 at 9.30pm & Sakhi on 23rd March 2015 at 10.00pm

“Amchya Gharyat Soonbai Joraat” a game show hosted by the reckoned actor Prasad Oak premiering on 23rd March 2015 at 6.30pm will see an entertaining faceoff of families led by the daughter-in-laws through engaging games. The show through its high spirited host and showcase of familial bonds is sure to make the evenings’ entertaining for the viewers. 

“Mazha Hoshil Ka” premiering on 23rd March 2015 at 9.30pm will bring alive romance on television though the endearing story of Samar a complex and head-strong man and Rujuta, the beautiful girl next door. Both Samar and Rujuta are the pillars holding their families together. How these two distinctive individuals find love with each other, makes this an engaging love story. 

“Sakhi” premiering on 23rd March 2015 at 9.30pm will showcase the story of Alka’s self-discovery through the support and love of her husband Makrand.  The show will highlight the unique journey of a house wife in discovering her self - worth and her family realizing her indispensability. This heartwarming show is sure to touch an emotional chord with all women and their families.
