MCX Stock Exchange partners with CNBC-TV18 to honour "Indian Visionaries'

MCX Stock Exchange, India's news stock exchange and CNBC-TV18, leading business medium, honours India's most promising visionaries and front runners leading nation's business conglomerates at Asia's most distinguished awards for excellence - "India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) 2010' held in the city today. Honorable Finance Minister, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee presented awards to the winners. The host for IBLA 2010 was the renowned Indian film director, producer, and TV celebrity, Mr. Karan Johar.

Celebrating the spirit of excellence in business leadership, the awards aim at recognizing leaders who have made a difference by carving a niche for themselves, thus creating an edge above their peers. The awards are a continuation of the tradition set by CNBC's "Asia Business Leader of the Year Awards 2010' - Asia's most definitive business leadership Awards.

IBLA 2010 has witnessed the finest jury comprising of eminent names such as N. R. Narayana Murthy, Chairperson of the Jury along with his members - Adi Godrej, Mukesh Ambani, K.V. Kamath, Naina Lal Kidwai, and Raghav Bahl.

The India Business Leaders were selected basis a detailed three-phased methodology and judged by a jury comprising of world-respected management strategists, academics and corporate personalities under stringent, objective and a transparent criteria and process. The jury, along with research partners - The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB), Development Dimensions International (DDI) and The CNBC-TV18 Research Team assessed candidates on a combination of criteria such as their financial performance, leadership, creativity, innovation and social responsibility. Further, candidates were also evaluated on their ability to create short-term advantage, long-term value, a competitive edge, and demonstration of leadership qualities in the business community. The business channel also conducted a national poll with a special group of business leaders, a peer group and the general public.
