Media veteran Sunil Mutreja bids adieu to Amar Ujala

Sunil Mutreja has resigned from his post as Executive President of Amar Ujala Publications.

Yet to decide on his next destination, he indicates taking the entrepreneurial route in the digital space.

His stint at Amar Ujala began in 2007 as President, Marketing where he contributed towards major expansion programmes which included the launch of ‘Compact’ and ‘Yuvan’ the weekly tabloids focused on the youth.

Earlier he was CEO of the  Advertising International Corporation, Y&R agency in Muscat . Spanning three decades his career in media initially took off in 1989 with The Times of India followed by a short stint with Dainik Bhaskar in year 2000 . He was also AVP at Times TV for a period of one year.

Mutreja has also been the CEO of  Channel Nine Entertainment a film production company which has made television commercials, programmes and feature films.
