Mediacom, Triton among 84 agencies served disaccreditation notice by INS

The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) has issued notice of disaccreditation against as many as 84 agencies for unsatisfactory payment position and not complying with the Accreditation Rules w.e.f. November 27, 2020.

The INS advised its member publications not to accord credit facility to these 84 agencies during the period of notice, while making all efforts to realise their unpaid dues.

Among the agencies are Mediacom Communications, Triton Communications, Network Advertising, among others.

In a circular issued, INS cautioned its member publications that “they will accept advertisements released by these agencies on credit basis only at their own risk” and added that “the Society would not be able to help in monitoring or recovering such dues. Members are also advised to be alert to the possibility that the advertisements released by these agencies might be routed through other accredited agencies.”
