MediBuddy launches #EverySingleBreath on World Asthma Day

MediBuddy, India’s largest digital healthcare platform has unveiled their new campaign #EverySingleBreath to commemorate World Asthma Day which is on 4 th May 2021. Through this campaign, MediBuddy aims to raise awareness about the breathing difficulties that asthmatics can struggle with in seemingly normal situations.

Asthma continues to be a major worrisome disease, with an estimate of 235 million people suffering from asthma globally and 1 in every 50 people in India. Adults and children alike are susceptible to the disease which is often characterized by breathlessness, wheezing, cough and chest tightness that may vary in occurrence and severity.

This World Asthma Day, MediBuddy encourages individuals to be mindful of those with breathing difficulties for whom #EverySingleBreath counts. Breathing is something most of us do not even think about. However, for those with Asthma, it can be a struggle. Situations that we usually consider normal and harmless can turn into triggers for a full-blown asthma attack for an asthmatic patient. While other individuals take breathing for granted, for a person with Asthma, #EverySingleBreath counts.

Commenting on the campaign, Satish Kannan, Co-Founder & CEO, MediBuddy said It is easy to underestimate the relevance of breathing freely for people who do not grapple with an asthmatic condition. Triggers can be anywhere and all around, and most of us do not realize how a simple situation can turn dangerous for someone with Asthma. With the initiative #EverySingleBreath, we at MediBuddy encourage individuals to be mindful of those with breathing difficulties, especially during these COVID times.”

The digital campaign launched by MediBuddy is in association with ITW Playworx. This World Asthma Day let’s be mindful of those around us with breathing difficulties and make #EverySingleBreath count.

MediBuddy with its quality healthcare services has been amplifying India’s medical infrastructure by providing accessible services from online doctor consultations, booking lab tests, ordering medicines and much more from the comfort of their homes.

Amid the second wave, MediBuddy has launched several initiatives such as Hospital Bed Availability Tracker, a 24x7 helpline number and a Coronavirus Risk Assessment Tool to help tackle the surge of coronavirus infection and contribute its bit in combating the virus.
