Mediscope Publicitas Launches BlackBook ' India's Luxury Insider

Mediascope Publicitas launches BlackBook, a monthly magazine that will chronicle the ups and downs, the triumphs and struggles of the country's nascent luxury industry.

We call ourselves "India's Luxury Insider' for a reason - we are the country's first magazine to look at the business of luxury. The luxury industry in India is going through exciting times, with big international brands waiting to join the ones that have already hot-stepped their way into the country. BlackBook aims to document these exciting times. We will track India's attempt at becoming a serious playground for the biggest luxury brands through stories that dissect consumer behaviour patterns and in-depth interviews with the promoters of Indian and international luxury. We will track every new trend and bring the biggest stories and news from across the world to the desks of the people who matter within the industry.

"Through our various interactions with brand managers, marketers and consultants we realised there was a lack of information sharing within the industry. There was little learning from experiences and positive news was rarely shared. Given our lineage and our long-term commitment to the industry in India, we decided to fill this vital gap and launch a true luxury insider," says Marzban Patel, CEO, Mediscope Publicitas Pvt. Ltd.

In its first issue, BlackBook offers a wide angle view of the country's luxury industry. The cover story unveils American luxury entrepreneur Donald J. Trump's bid to lead the Indian luxury market with his franchise business and his glamorous real estate projects. In an interview, Genesis Colors' Sanjay Kapoor gives his perceptions about the Indian luxury industry and the future of his company. The other features analyse the luxury industry's new found love for the digital medium and investigate Pune's transformation as the new destination for luxury. "Our attempt with BlackBook is to understand and report on the shape and direction the luxury market ultimately takes in India," says Deepali Nandwani, Editor-in-chief, BlackBook.
