Mercedes-Benz India drives in to Rajkot!
Focused on the year of offensive, Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of its state-of-the-art facility “Benchmark Cars Rajkot” in the burgeoning market of Rajkot. Located on Gondal Road, the plush residential area of the city, the new facility is spread over an area of 21,000 sq. ft., carrying an investment of INR 70 Million. The new facility was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Sanjay Thakker, Chairman and Managing Director, Benchmark Cars Rajkot.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India stated “Rajkot is a city on the move with immense potential to grow and it has an upwardly mobile customer base that is developing the market for luxury cars. The demand for Mercedes-Benz cars in Gujarat, Rajkot and surrounding markets in specific, has been encouraging. It was important for Mercedes-Benz to start operations in this market and present the fascination of the Three Pointed Star to our potential customers and enthusiasts in Rajkot. This is the fourth dealership that has been set up by our partner Benchmark Cars in Gujarat and the sixth one in the country, and we see our partnership growing stronger. Created over a span of 14 months, the Benchmark Cars Rajkot facility has an enthusiastic and confident staff dedicated to ensure that the experience of purchasing a Mercedes-Benz remains hassle free for the discerning customer. The state of the art service center at Benchmark Cars is spread over an additional 12,000 sq. ft. and employs highly skilled personnel to care of all the requirements of the valued customers. With 6 bays and a capacity of servicing close to 6 cars a day, the workshop has been built at par with the brand’s global benchmark. The workshop can undertake general repairs and maintenance work with availability of Mercedes-Benz spares and accessories.
