Meta expands gifts on Instagram to more creators

Meta is expanding gifts on Instagram to more creators across the US, offering a way for you to easily begin earning money from your audience.

Meta began testing gifts on Instagram in November, which let followers show their appreciation through direct monetary support.
It had then introduced a way for creators to make their own NFTs (or digital collectibles) and sell them to fans and collectors both on and off Instagram. This gave new ways for people to show appreciation for their favorite creators through expanded access to Instagram subscriptions, gifting on Instagram Reels and updates to Facebook Stars. Meta had also launched a new profile setting on Facebook that allowed creators to build a public presence while maintaining their personal account.

With the new features now, creators can receive gifts from supporters who purchase them directly within the Instagram app using Stars. These themed virtual gifts let people creatively express their appreciation for creators, which can result in earning money.

“You can check your eligibility by going to your Professional Dashboard on Instagram. Gifts are one of the growing number of ways we’re helping people make a living and grow their community on Instagram, and we hope to bring gifts to even more people soon,” says a company announcement.
