Metro Shoes Ltd. launches #WonderWoman Social Media Campaign

They say, behind every successful man there is a woman. However only a select few realize that behind most successful women, is a doting father. To commemorate the upcoming occasion of Father’s Day, Metro Shoes Ltd., India’s leading fashion footwear retailer launched the #WonderWoman campaign across its primary social media platforms to celebrate the wonder women of today alongside their supporting fathers. The primary objective was to bring together an array of women who have excelled in their respective professions to speak their heart out on their lives and how each of their fathers have played a vital role in their success.

The campaign #WonderWoman, which highlights the vitality of a supportive father in the life of a woman, features some of India’s most successful women entrepreneurs including the likes of Farah Malik Bhanji, Amruda Nair and Ankita Mittal, each speaking about their fathers and how they have inspired them to become a Wonder Woman.

Metro Shoes Ltd. also created three heart-warming and inspirational videos featuring these entrepreneurs and amplified on the brand’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter channels along with their images and inspirational quote. Often their contribution to our lives go unnoticed which is why Metro Shoes Ltd. took a step and asked women to tell a story of how their fathers helped them become the wonder woman they are today.

Announcing the launch of the campaign, Alisha Malik- Vice President, Digital, Metro Shoes Ltd. said, “#WonderWoman is a unique campaign that will celebrate the emotional bond between a daughter and her father on Father’s Day. The patriarchal society that we live in has always subjected women to be the second gender. However, time and again we have seen women break the stereotype with their ingenious efforts. Often, we fail to appreciate their efforts. Today we ask women to recount how their fathers motivated and pushed them out of their comfort zone.”
