Mindshare appoints Aloun Liu as Head of Data & Technology for APAC

Mindshare, the global media agency network that is part of WPP, has appointed Aloun Liu to the newly-created role of Head of Data & Technology for the Asia Pacific region. Liu’s role is effective immediately.

A UCLA graduate in Computer Science with a specialisation in Economics, Liu has over 15 years of experience in Systems, Data, and Technology with companies, including PwC Consulting, Charles Schwab, FTI Consulting, Wells Fargo, and recently with IPG Mediabrands as the Founder and MD of their Global Technology Solutions unit.

In this new role, Liu will work with Mindshare’s partners within and outside WPP to enhance and develop the agency’s data related products, and provide architectural support for the agency’s FAST Hubs (Future Adaptive Specialist Team). His focus also includes design, development, and execution of all existing and future reporting of all campaign activities that Mindshare runs on behalf of its clients in the Asia, Middle East and Africa region.

Commenting on the appointment, Gowthaman Ragothaman, Chief Operating Officer, Mindshare Asia Pacific, said, “Aloun joins Mindshare at a time when our FAST services across our blue-chip clients are at its peak, not to ignore our overall vision to drive Business Platforms & Services as the central enabler towards data-driven marketing.  As we continue to expand our scope of work across the entire data value chain from Onboarding to Study-Expand-Serve-Activate-Attribute and Measure, Aloun will play a key role in advising our clients for an agnostic and open-sourced technology solution that brings the best of both slow and fast moving data streams.”
