Mindshare expands CDO Sanchit Sanga’s role to include MENA

Mindshare has expanded Sanchit Sanga’s role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) for Mindshare Asia Pacific to also include the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA). The veteran CDO for Mindshare Asia Pacific has added the Middle East and Northern Africa to his scope following several years of impressive leaps forward for the agency in their digital offering and leadership.

In his role as CDO for Mindshare Asia Pacific, Sanga helped lead the agency’s FAST rollout, which offers clients a series of industry leading digital and technology solutions including the audacious launch of several client level trading desks, which now oversees over $100 million in billings. With this promotion, Mindshare is looking to capitalise on his success in crafting custom built brand and performance marketing products for more clients using open source technology, AI & data products.

The move comes following a recent announcement by Mindshare that they will be scaling up their Adaptive Marketing approach for clients by integrating their FAST offering into more offices with the appointment of a global leadership team, as they continue to see rapid growth of data driven real time marketing.

Sanga has been with Mindshare since 2003, when he joined as the National Director for India.  He has since been in several roles for both the agency and GroupM and has been Mindshare APAC’s CDO since April 2015.

In addition to building solutions for some of the world’s top brands, Sanga has also been a leading voice in brand safety, viewability and the adoption of nascent technologies, which he has lead in both Mindshare and through his role as Co-Chair of the IAB.

In this role, Sanga will be overseeing all digital activity for Mindshare across both regions to ensure the same levels of quality control and digital adoption for; technology solutions; emerging platforms; and overall brand safety & viewability.

In the past year Mindshare Asia Pacific has outpaced the industry in nearly all measurable aspects, including top scores from RECMA, all major Agency of the Year titles, and holding a dominant position for new business activity according to R3.  For all of these successes, the agency cites their digital offer as a key factor in their success.

Commenting on his new role, Sanchit Sanga said, “I am stoked to be working more closely with our trail blazing MENA team. Under Tony Bourached’s leadership as the digital head for MENA, we have reinvigorated the region with some stellar digital innovations and we will continue to redefine the region with fresh approaches to digital marketing. Our regions for APAC & MENA have many similarities in terms of digital evolution and it’s only natural that the teams work more closely to shape Mindshare digital products and our business outcome services under Mindshare FAST.”

Ashutosh Srivastava, CEO, AMEA & Russia/CIS, commented, “Sanchit is an industry leader and has been on the leading edge of marketing technology for years. His work in establishing FAST in APAC, driving excellence in execution, and setting up industry standards on brand safety, fraud avoidance and viewability have been extraordinary – not just in the results that they deliver for clients, but with the flawless rollout of each client offering. With the launch of [m]Platform, GroupM’s technology offering that consolidates digital and data assets,we want to accelerate capability building and scale up all the products we have developed at the Singapore hub for growth markets. It is great to have someone with Sanchit’s experience and ability leading the effort in more offices. With this expansion of his scope, we aim to help our clients in other growth markets leapfrog their competition and raise the standards to which the entire industry should be held.”

Sanga’s role is effective immediately.
