Misfit Panda by Juveca Panda to showcase ‘The Secret Garden’

Olympic Silver medallist, badminton player P.V. Sindhu is all set to walk the ramp as she turns showstopper for Misfit Panda by Juveca Panda for LFW S/R’19. The brand will be showcasing ‘The Secret Garden’- a collection inspired by the beauty of hidden gardens and villas in Lake Como. The collection features non-leather alternatives such as high quality PU and plexi in hues of pink, green and blue which have been laser-cut into various shapes of flowers, leaves and butterflies, reminiscent of the natural beauty of Lake Como. After the laser cutting process, the motifs have been layered and hand embroidered on the shoes to give a 3D look and feel.

The Collection will be unveiled on 3^rd February 2019 at Lakme Fashion Week S/R’19.

Speaking about the association, showstopper P.V. Sindhu said,“I am excited to be a part of Misfit Panda’s show at Lakme Fashion Week. The beauty of her designs is that they are urban and funky. Their designs are focused on comfort, which to me is the key to picking a pair of footwear for yourself. Being a badminton player, comfortable footwear is a must for me! Misfit Panda’s ‘The Secret Garden’ collection is everything a millennial is looking for these days- fashion forward, urban and comfortable!”

Juveca Panda, creative director of Misfit Panda added, “The inspiration behind this collection came to me during the drive from Milan to Lake Como. There were these beautiful streets filled with eye catching grafitti and then suddenly a magnificent garden or villa would emerge filled with colourful flowers and vines. Like most works of art, graffiti is a form of self-expression based on our experiences, emotions and observations. Nature on the other hand I find is a work of art in its own right, almost nurturing an innate sense of self. My new collection “The Secret Garden” is in essence a place of harmony we create within us by accepting who we are while also appreciating the experiences that have shaped the way we express ourselves - I have taken many elements of urban Italy and the dramatic scenic setting of Lake Como to create my designs that reflect this story and ideology. The collection features sneakers, boots and heels in hues of pink, orange, green and blue that promise to be a visual treat and hopefully enchant you! I am extremely excited that P.V Sindhu will be walking the ramp for us at LFW!”
