More R&D investment needed for innovations in digital: Pankaj Dubey

The digital ecosystem in India has got a fresh boost with the Government allocating Rs 12.16 billion for the Digital India drive during 2017-18. This will help in further accelerating digital growth in the country.

While appreciating the various initiatives taken by the Government to make India a digital economy, Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director & Country Head, Polaris India, said, “Demonitisation is a good step and has helped even the common man to start going digital especially through mobile apps. The industry must support all such initiatives and take the lead in investing in creation of a digital economy.”

Stressing on greater cooperation, Dubey said, “The industry and the Government should encourage and support R&D investments to trigger innovation in the digitisation of the economy.”

Dubey is part of the esteemed Jury panel comprising industry thought leaders for the first ever DIGIXX Awards. DIGIXX is being brought by Adgully in association with ad:tech and will be held during the ad:tech conference at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram on March 9 and 10, 2017.
