Movies OK announces Mai Ke Laal

In the history of Indian Cinema, mothers have probably been the most iconic characters. For decades, Bollywood has doted on them and now Movies OK takes a short trip, recalls and pays a tribute to the most famous and epic onscreen mothers with a unique movie extravaganza, Mai Ke Laal.  

Starting on 14th December, 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, Mai Ke Laal will bring to the fore some of the most sought after on-screen mothers. The festival will premiere with Shahrukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om on 14th December, bringing out the retro and hilarious side of Kirron Kher as his mother. Other key highlights of the festival include iconic films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which showcases how a mother, along with her granddaughter, helps her son in finding the love of his life, Beta showcasing the mother, Aruna Irani, essaying a negative character to perfection and Om Jai Jagdish, a movie highlighting the importance of a mother in holding the family together. This festival will culminate with the Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 2 States on 25th December.
