Mukesh Ambani, Ben J. Verwaayen & Zhu Min Join WEFF Board

The Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum has elected Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries, India; Ben J. Verwaayen, Chief Executive Officer, Alcatel-Lucent, France; and Zhu Min, Special Adviser, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Washington DC, and a former Deputy Governor, People's Bank of China , People's Republic of China, to the

experiences at the highest level of government and the financial sector will be similarly a great asset."

The Foundation Board is composed of leaders from business, politics, academia and civil society who strongly identify themselves with the Forum's mission to improve the state of the world and who make a valuable contribution to this mission through their involvement.

In addition, Peter Freire will be joining the Forum as Managing Director, heading the Forum's new Global Agenda Partnership. Lord Malloch-Brown will be leaving the Forum after a successful year as Vice-Chairman and Senior Adviser of the Forum's Global Redesign Initiative.
