Mukta Arts reports revenues of Rs 2,304.9 lakh for Q3 FY2021

Mukta Arts has stayed on course with its positive trajectory and delivered standalone profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 454.9 lakh in the third quarter of the fiscal 2020-21. For nine months of the financial year 2020-2021, the standalone PAT stood at Rs 868.6 lakh, with a growth of 134% over the previous corresponding period and has exceeded the total PAT registered in the previous financial year.

On a consolidated basis, for Q3 FY2021, the company registered revenues of Rs 2,304.9 lakh; EBITDA of Rs 714.5 lakh, with EBITDA margin at 31% and a PAT of Rs 139.9 lakh and PAT margin at 6.1%.

Whistling Woods International, its subsidiary and a leading educational institute in media studies, registered a topline of Rs 1,461 lakh for the nine months of this financial year. The nine months’ EBITDA and PAT stood at Rs 595 lakh and Rs 315 lakh, respectively.

Commenting on the results, Rahul Puri, Managing Director, Mukta Arts, said, “The gradual unlocking of the economy continues to lead us towards restoring the normalcy. In the third quarter, the Ministry of Film Affairs permitted cinemas to reopen from October 15, 2020 with the overall capacity restricted at 50%. We have 22 locations with 52 screens operational in India along with the 6 operational screens in Bahrain. Our education business continues to scale new heights and we have onboarded 413 new students in this academic year. We look forward towards putting the worst of the pandemic behind us and hope to maintain our positive trajectory.”
