Mumbai Court rejects former BARC India CEO's bail plea

The Esplanade magistrate court in Mumbai has rejected the bail plea of former Broadcast Audience Research Council India (BARC India) CEO Partho Dasgupta. He was sent to a 14 day judicial custody on 30 December, 2020.

Dasgupta is the 15th person to be arrested in the ongoing investigation relating to the TRP scam case by Mumbai Police. Former COO of BARC India Romil Ramgarhia was also arrested and remained in police custody till December 19.
