Mumbai Cyclothon ' Tour De Mumbai has associated with several brands, to spread CSR!

Sport18, a sports management company had joined hands with TI Cycles and Being Human ' the Salman Khan Foundation to begin "Mumbai Cyclothon' - Tour De Mumbai', the India's first ever international cycling event which will take place at Bandra Reclamation on Sunday i.e. February 21 2010.

Sports18 ' the sports marketing division of the Network18 group and ID Sports. In fact, Salman's Foundation - Being Human, would be the principal partner of Mumbai Cyclothon.

Along with Salman Khan, the ride will have participants from all walks of life like - amateur cyclists, cycling enthusiasts, working professionals, house wives and school children. Mumbai Cyclothon will marked by the presence of a host of celebrities, officials from CFI, Maharashtra Cycling Association and corporates.

Mumbai Cyclothon organisers have joined hands with various event partners to spread corporate social responsibility (CSR) like - Café Coffee Day (CCD), who will provide snacks and refreshments at the Cyclothon. Bisleri will provide water bottles to all participants. Red FM will have a live radio booth at the event. Lilavati Hospital will take care of medical support. The Khar-Bandra-Santacruz (KBS) Foundation will organise a Car Free Day at Carter Road.

Besides, all these brands the other brands who are also associated with the event includes - Trident, Cinemax, Network18, Times of India, Tata Group, Bright Outdoor Media, Call Life and The John Gloster Studio, topdoctorsonline.com and Topspin.

In fact, TI Cycles after the success of the Bengaluru Cyclothon, is carrying forward its association with the event as the principal partner for India Cyclothon - Mumbai 2010.

As per media reports, D Raghuram, president, TI Cycles said, "We aim to help put Mumbai on the international cycling map, as well as contribute to a healthier and greener environment through the BSA Hercules India Cyclothon, Mumbai-2010."

Then, Dr. Akil Khan, chairperson-MD, ID Sports said, "We want Mumbai Cyclothon-Tour De Mumbai to be India"s answer to the Tour De France in the coming few years, under the aegis of UCI and CFI. ID Sports wants to promote cycling to enable healthy hearts and beating heart disease in the country."

However, the event will coincide with the Mumbai chapter of the BSA Hercules India Cyclothon ' Mumbai 2010, a community ride to promote the practice of cycling in the city.
