Mumbai witnesses a unique treasure hunt with Electric Cars!

Roadtrippers Club, a fast growing road tripping community for enthusiasts, beginners and those who love hitting the roads, continuing with its social intent is organising a unique treasure hunt to discover the city's eco treasures. This treasure hunt will be the first of its kind to be held in India and to be conducted entirely using electric vehicles.

The treasure hunt will be flagged-off in the Fort area of Mumbai on August 19th (Sunday) and eighteen teams will set off in hunt of the next clues – all being prominent monuments and buildings related to Electricity, Sustainability and Transport.

The first team to complete all six of the twelve clues required to complete the hunt will be declared as the winning team. Joining Roadtrippers Club in this initiative are Khaki Tours (who conceptualised the hunt) and Zoom Cars (who offer electric cars in their rental services).

As India looks forward to an all-electric transport future, responsible use of resources becomes very important. A treasure hunt conducted in electric vehicles not only brings novelty in the concept of the way such events are conducted, but also sends across the message of using renewable resources of energy. This also helps to allay the prevailing anxiety of the range of an electric vehicle and proving that the future is here!

Speaking on this, Ruchik Gandhi, from the Roadtrippers Club, stated - “As a community which enjoys its road trips we firmly believe that there is a need to expand the definition of traditional roadtrips – Doing roadtrips in the city, with electric vehicles and through unique formats like Treasure Hunt are ways to further our philosophy of ‘Anyone can Roadtrip’. Electric cars are clearly the future and we as a club want to be pioneers in this direction. This treasure hunt was a fun way of getting this message across; by the community and for the community.”

Bharat Gothoskar from The Khaki Tours added “Getting to know the heritage of this maximum city is always fun and what better way to do it than getting on to the eco-friendly electric cars whilst doing it. Enabling people to know more about the treasures and stories that this city has to offer in a sustainable manner is the message that we would like to drive home. Let’s work together to keep both our city and environment in a good condition for future generations – Let us all be Heritage Evangelists.”

Romil Kaul from Zoom Cars commented, “We at Zoomcar believe that travel isn't just about reaching the destination, but also celebrating the journey. With this event, we intend to promote sustainable mobility, which is the foundation of the ZAP Subscribe program, a hassle-free alternative to car ownership.”
