N Padmakumar to join Rediffusion Y&R as NCD

After nearly four years of successful stint at Everest Brand Solutions, N. Padmakumar (Paddy, Padma) its National Creative Director, is moving on, but not too far. For his next assignment happens to be within the same group. He now moves to Rediffusion as National Creative Head.

His stint at Everest has been very successful, having partnered with Everest President D. Rajappa in adding several new and substantial businesses such as ACC Cement, Indian Overseas Bank, Tata Housing, Writer Corporation, Emami, T-Series among others. Paddy added meat to its show reel with several successful and well-liked campaigns for Parle, ACC cement, Indian Overseas Bank, Tata Housing, and most recently, the "Safed Teeka" campaign for Emami Boroplus.

"Working with Rajappa has been a truly rewarding experience. Our chemistry was terrific from the start and our outlook and attitudes matched perfectly. His clarity of purpose and steadiness rubbed off on me, adding great new weapons to my armoury. We've been comrades in adversity and in success, which makes us truly close. I will continue to glean insights and guidance from him," says Paddy of his partner, guide and mentor.

Padma spent the formative years of his career working at Lintas, handling Lever personal wash brands like Lifebuoy, Liril, Breeze and Rexona, besides having worked on the launch of Britannia Tiger biscuits. Then followed a brief stint at MTV where he conceptualized and launched "Fully Faltoo", "Gone Case", and the new MTV Classic show, besides having worked on Bakra and other shows.

Thereafter he traveled to Sri Lanka, leading Lintas Sri Lanka to "Agency of the Year" two years in succession as ECD there, even receiving a special award for "Creative Person of the Year". He moved back to India, this time to Lowe Delhi as Creative Head on the LG business.

Shortly after, he joined the McCann Worldgroup, as ECD Sri Lanka, where yet again he led the agency to "Agency of the Year". He came back to India thereafter, joining Lowe Bombay as to handle ICICI bank, the Clinic Haircare range, Vim, Domex, ACC cement and Bharat Petroleum, also winning the MCX business along the way.

Everest Brand Solutions has built a robust portfolio of brands by adding customers like ACC, AKAI, CNN-IBN, Emami, Indian Overseas Bank, KS Oils, Macro Dairy, Mount Shivalik Breweries, Tata Housing to its string of multi-decade relationships like Bombay Chemicals, Parle and Zandu.
