NBA welcomes PMO’s decision to withdraw fake news circular

Rajat Sharma, President, News Broadcasters Association (NBA), has welcomed the decision of the Prime Minister’s Office to withdraw the press release dated April 2, 2018, issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, titled ‘Guidelines for Accreditation of Journalists Amended to  Regulate Fake News’. 

The Association also welcomed the decision to let industry bodies, that is, NBA and the Press Council of India (PCI) decide on all issues relating to fake news.
