Need to Engage Millennials for Health Insurance: Max Bupa launches social media campaign #EveryIndianFamilyNeeds

For all of us family matters the most. While it is important to keep a family intact and together, it is equally important to keep it protected from both foreseen and unforeseen health hazards. In today’s time, when togetherness of a family often falls prey to health issues and the resultant strain on finances, it is important to act in advance and secure the well-being of family members.

A health crisis in the family can prove to be a big drain on finances and often pushes people into debts. Health insurance is one such method available to all of us which insures the family against most of the unforeseen health issues.

Talking specifically about the Indian millennials (those between 25-35 of age), a recent survey showed that though they recognize the importance of good health, they have limited understanding and are less savvy about health insurance and its benefits. Moreover, a large chunk of millennials considered paying for health insurance to be a financial strain.

While working hard to fulfill their responsibilities, this section of the population spends considerable time in ensuring all possible securities and comfort for their family members. At times even at the cost of their own health.

The situation becomes even more serious with the fact that the awareness level of the Indian millennials on health insurance is extremely low. Considering this as its responsibility towards the society and young Indians, Max Bupa has come forward to guide them and make them realize the importance of getting insured and thus fortify the health as well as fortunes of their families.

Under this noble initiative Max Bupa has launched a week long social media campaign, ‘Every Indian Family Needs’ that attempts to tell young minds about the importance of health insurance for themselves as well as their family. Through this campaign Max Bupa is making an attempt to tell people about the imperative nature of health insurance in today’s fast paced life.

The company intends to engage and interact with Indian families in a lighter mood by bringing up the subject/matters which are part of our day to day lives such as cricket, Bollywood, food, culture etc. The campaign aims to highlight the need to take up health insurance as an integral and indispensable part of every family.

Max Bupa has been actively involved in similar initiatives in the recent past. Lately, the company carried out a campaign called #TensionNahiLeneka where it engaged with netizens through simple ideas, thoughts and remind them it is ok to not take so much stress. Other such campaigns like #HealthieSelfie, #HealthShield and #InvestInYourself also encouraged people to live life towards happiness through appealing concepts on social media.
