Netflix is seeking applications for attachment roles  to work on a local  eight part series which will begin production in late August in Queensland.

Netflix Grow Creative is looking for:

  • A First Nations Locations Attachment, based in Queensland,to assist an experienced Locations team, and support the First Nations production protocols. Netflix is committed to increasing opportunities for First Nation Australian peoples through its attachment program and other growth initiatives.

  • An Assistant Editorial Attachment, based in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity working with a highly experienced post-production team. There is a huge demand for more Assistant Editors, other post production roles in the Australian film and television industry.

The attachments are part of Netflix's long-term investment in building and nurturing a pipeline of creative talent. The program provides in-depth and hands-on experience for the next generation of Australian crew in production and post-production roles. The focus is on areas where the industry faces workforce shortages.

Que Minh Luu, Director of Content, Netflix ANZ, says, “Australia is home to world-class talent, both on-screen and in production, and it's essential that we invest in the next generation to build a strong future for our local industry.

“We piloted a similar attachment scheme on  Heartbreak High which has now seen some of these attachments going on to have full-time roles on other Netflix productions as well as industry-wide. Grow Creative will continue to not only provide meaningful talent development and vocational opportunities but look to support ongoing career growth in the industry.”
