Netflix testing more subscribers plans to offer Indian users flexibility

After the success of the Rs 199/month mobile only plan, Netflix is testing a half yearly and yearly subscription plan discounted as high as 50% according to media reports. Currently, Netflix offers four subscription plans – Rs 199/month, Rs 499/month, Rs 649/month, and Rs 799/month.

Reed Hastings in the Q3 earnings had remarked “we've been very, very happy with the mobile plan. It's actually performing better than we tested.”

Reports of the new plan have also surface when Netflix is strengthening its movie library to encourage more users to subscribe to their service.
