News18 India brings two election specials from Maharashtra and Haryana

Months after the fiercely fought Loksabha elections, over 100 million voters are now gearing up again to elect new government in the states of Haryana and Maharashtra. To highlight the ground realities and connect with the voters of the states going to polls, News18 India has lined-up special reportage through its renowned shows – Bhaiyaji Kahin and Lapete Mein Netaji – from ground zero.

Developed as a unique travelogue-cum-chaupal concept, Bhaiyaji Kahin, hosted by Prateek Trivedi is a clutter-breaking show that capture the pulse of the electors. In line with News18 India’s commitment to highlight and raise relevant issues, the show will traverse the length and breadth of election bound states giving the voters a platform to voice not only their concerns but also expectations from the next government. From Rohtak, Sonepat, Panchkula and Karnal in Haryana to Nagpur, Mumbai, Baramati in Maharashtra, Bhaiyaji Kahin will also provide a unique platform to the people to interact with their local leaders at the constituency level.

An innovative take on ‘hasya kavi sammelan’, Lapete Mein Netaji, will go on-ground to bring politicians, poets and people of the poll-bound states together. A flagship show of the channel, it aims to bring the much-needed humour and satire to the intense political debates. The special edition of the show will travel to Mumbai and Nagpur in Maharashtra and Kaithal and Rohtak in Haryana to bring some of the most renowned local poets along with the voters together with some of the biggest newsmakers.

As the shows travel through the states, News18 India will aim to bring voters, viewers and nation an in-depth and insightful ground level view of the states prior to the elections.
